Drafting Background and Experience

 

    I have utilized multiple versions of AutoCAD and Microstation software, primarily in the fields of civil engineering, environmental remediation, and geographic information systems on a continual basis since 1997. I have also worked effectively in both a team and singular drafting environments, managing both engineers and clients’ specific needs and standardizations producing (but not limited to) survey integration, detailed site maps, elevation and profiles, cross-sections, site grading, and existing and proposed utility location plans while successfully meeting the critical requirements of project duration and billing constraints.

GRW Engineering Inc. – 2/2015 – 5/2015 (90 day contract)

 

·  Primary responsibilities included producing digital overlays of impervious areas of Marion county Indiana for taxation purposes utilizing Microstation in a team environment. The calculated information was then uploaded to the county GIS website for public queries by property owners. Further responsibilities included reviewing designated sections after completion for quality assurance and accuracy.

 

EnviroForensics – 6/2012 – 9/2014

 

·  Primary responsibilities as the CAD Manager included producing detailed site maps identifying existing utilities with proposed and existing monitoring well, soil boring, and extraction well locations that reflected quarterly analytical results provided by project engineers and surveyors’ data. Drafting detailed geologic cross-section maps, potentiometric contour surface maps and iso-concentration surface maps, maintaining drawing legends and notes applicable to specific site data.

·  Trained engineers in the use of AutoCAD and implemented drafting symbols and standards for company -wide compliance in CAD documentation.

 

Lee and Ryan Environmental Consultants - 11/2008 – 6/2012

 

·  Primary responsibilities as the CAD Manager included producing geologic cross-sections based on information attained from boring logs. Researching property boundaries and incorporating them into new and existing maps. Updating soil and groundwater contamination result information on a quarterly basis for site remediation purposes. Creating potentiometric surface elevation maps on a quarterly basis. Updating and creating site remediation trailer layout and equipment schematics. Updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheet site remediation data and scheduling.

·  Creating and updating proposed land removal areas for waterway diversion maps.

·  Producing As-built documentation for Veteran Administration hospital construction projects.

·  Primary responsibilities included producing detailed sets of construction documents regarding cellular tower compounds and tower structures (i.e. Site plan, Elevations, Tower component details, etc.) from surveys or existing documentation for major telecommunication companies utilizing AutoCAD 2006.

·  Primary responsibilities included converting county and state documentation (i.e. Legal descriptions and Plat maps) into editable data to be utilized by counties and utility companies in order for them to have the most current information on road data, soils data, taxation, and parcel boundaries utilizing AutoCAD Map.

·  Primary point of contact for the Assessor’s office in the Indiana counties of Fountain, Henry, Johnson, and Monroe for the purposes of training, research, and assistance.
